Bumblebee review

So the other week I went to go see bumblebee at the nearest theater, and I’m a fan of the first one but only the first one. you know how that goes.

Since I saw the reviews for the film were actually really good I couldn’t wait to see it for myself. and it didn’t disappoint.

the film has a score of 93% on rotten tomatoes and I can see why.

The relationship between the girl and bumblebee just warms your heart and it shows how their friendships progresses and how they had to depart from each other even though it was hard. and it was heartbreaking to watch.

John Cena was surprisingly good in the film and made it even better. And it has some really funny moments as well which just makes it even more entertaining to watch.

I like the fact that they didn’t have a huge fight with a massive amount of decepticons and autoboots at the near end of the movie, instead they just focused on bumble and 2 decepticon villains that he has to stop before they send a distress signal through the earths satellites to megatron and all the others to come to earth.

By the end of the film you’re left satisfied, and wanting more which the other films should’ve tried to do.

my over all score for bumblebee is………. 9/10

GREAT FILM.

Logan lucky

Today I thought I should talk about a very underrated film by the name of Logan lucky.

Logan lucky came out august 18, 2017 and it has a score of 92% on rotten tomatoes.

The film has Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, and Daniel Craig. So its hard too see why this gem of a film went under the radar.

First off it was the return of Steven soderbergh to direct and he has made some great films like side effects, traffic, and contagion.

The main reason why it wasn’t so popular is because a Ryan Reynolds and Samuel l. Jackson film came out the same date but only had a score of 41% on rotten tomatoes.

I’ve watched both films. both were funny but I enjoyed Logan lucky more.

Its about 3 siblings plan to rob the charlotte motor speedway. and since its a crime film I would’ve thought the numbers at the box office would be larger than it actually was.

when I went to go see this film I was the only one in the theater. it surprised me because I was excited for the film to come out when the first trailer was uploaded to YouTube.

Logan lucky had a budget of $29 million and only made $48.50 million while The Hitman’s Bodyguard had a budget of $30 million and made $176.60 at the box office

The acting in Logan lucky was good and the awkward jokes were really funny and I loved every step of the way.

Logan Lucky 8.5/10

The Hitman’s Bodyguard 6/10

Best films of 2018

Since its the beginning of a new year and this is my first post I thought that I should share my top 10 movies of 2018…….. SPOILERS!!!

10. Hereditary 7.5/10

This film was easily the best horror film of 2018. First off the acting was incredible except for that one crying part when the mother tells the son and dad she can contact her dead daughter. The plot twists where very surprising and it was very shocking when Charlie’s head was decapitated. BUT OVERALL it was terrifying and very entertaining to watch.

9. Hostiles 7.9/10

First off I love me some good Christian Bale acting and this film shows it. The action sequences were very harsh at some points but still fun to watch. The acting was good but not great on some parts which is ok because this film tells a great story of hope and honor, which I very much enjoyed, and the growing relationship between Bales character and the chiefs was fantastic.

8. Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot 8/10

This film really made my emotions come out. I laughed, cried, and became angry at some points. the acting was great and Jonah hill was as well, as usual. Joaquin phoenix was amazing and he showed the struggles of John Callahan really well. This is a must see.

7. A Quiet Place 8.5/10

A quiet place was entertaining to watch and was scary most of the time. The directing by John Krasinski was great and I hope to see more of it in the future. Emily blunt was fierce and did a fantastic job. The film was unpredictable and killed off a child in the first 10 minutes. Blew me away!

6. 22 July 9/10

This film shows the tragic, true story of the massacre of a youth camp in Norway in 2011. The acting was good, but the emotions coming from the screen made it feel as you where right there with them. It truly made me tear and it’s just one hell of a good movie.

5. Bohemian Rhapsody 9/10

Rami Malek portrayed Freddie so well and his moments made it feel as if we were watching Freddie himself . I love everything about this film except for the changes in timeline, but the Live Aid concert scene was just great and made you feel like you were in the crowd with everyone else.

4. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs 9/10

This movie made me laugh so many times and Buster Scruggs was so likeable. Everyone in the film was amazing and the cinematography was as well. I just cant stop singing those great tunes.

3. Apostle 9.3/10

Dan Stevens was great in this film and it made you want to close your eyes at some parts. the violence was shot really well and the plot is easy to pick up on. It’s amazing, creepy, and weird. I LOVE IT.

2. You were Never really There 9.5/10

Another amazing Phoenix film on my list. This is easily one the greatest films I’ve watched. The cinematography is impeccable and the acting is just amazing. Joaquin is just so damn good in this film and I didn’t want it to come to an end. The violence is just great and some parts are just heartbreaking. You must check this one out.

1. Mandy 9.8/10

What isn’t good about the film? Nicolas Cage gives another amazing performance and probably his best yet. Its just so brutal and demonic that you can’t help but not want to look away to see what happens next. The actions sequences are the best I’ve seen and that chainsaw fight was just great. The incredible director Panos Cosmatos outdid himself and made one of my favorite films. EVER. A MUST SEE!!!
